The Tender Administrator will support SANRAL-related tender activities within the Transport division at our Pretoria office. They will be responsible for coordinating tender documentation, ensuring compliance with bid requirements, maintaining accurate records, tracking relevant tender opportunities, and supporting timely submissions.
The role requires strong SANRAL tender administration experience, excellent attention to detail, sound knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to work efficiently under deadline-driven conditions while reporting to the Senior Administrative Assistant.
• Ensure that all tender documents are completed accurately.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and copies of completed documents.
• Search for relevant tenders across various platforms.
• Ensure that the required bid process is followed.
• Coordinate the collection of tender documents and ensure submissions are made on time.
• Organise and schedule meetings.
• Check that all tender compliance requirements, functionality requirements, and deadlines are strictly met before final submission.
• Maintain neat and organised digital and physical filing systems for active and past bids.
Minimum Qualifications
• Matric.
• Procurement or tender-related certification would be advantageous.
Years of Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ tender administration experience.
• SANRAL tender experience is essential.
Technical Skills and Competencies
• Strong working knowledge of standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe.
• Practical understanding of local government procurement frameworks, compliance gates, and pricing schedules.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Strong background in SANRAL tender administration, with a focus on construction and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of tender documentation, assessment of project feasibility, and collaboration with various departments to gather the necessary information.
• Strong understanding of the bidding process and the ability to craft compelling proposals that highlight the organisation’s strengths and capabilities.
