Draftsperson

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-driven Draftsperson to join our Infrastructure team in Mossel Bay on a permanent basis.

You’ll turn engineers’ and technologists’ designs into accurate, standards-compliant structural and civil drawings while working closely with a multidisciplinary technical team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings for infrastructure projects.
Produce and update construction, tender and as-built drawings.
Incorporate engineers’ and technologists’ designs and technical instructions into drawings.
Coordinate drawings with other disciplines and identify potential clashes or discrepancies.
Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control.
Assist with site measurements, inspections and updating drawings based on site conditions.
Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards, specifications and client requirements.
Provide drafting support to engineers, project managers and the broader technical team.

Minimum Qualifications

Engineering-related qualification.
Relevant courses or training will be advantageous.
Professional registration will be an added advantage.

Years of Relevant Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ relevant drafting experience, ideally on civil and structural projects.

Preferred Project Experience

Civil engineering projects.
Structural engineering projects.

Technical Skills / Software Required

Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Proficiency in Civil Designer.
Experience with Civil 3D will be advantageous.
